Stripe Onboarding Policy for Event Organizers

1. Why This Policy Exists
Telexor partners with Stripe to process payments for event tickets. Stripe is a regulated financial services company that must comply with financial laws, regulations, and rules set by card networks and banking partners. This means certain types of events and businesses cannot be supported, even if we would like to accommodate them.
By creating an event and selling tickets on Telexor, you agree to comply with both our Terms of Service and Stripe's Prohibited and Restricted Businesses policies.
2. Prohibited Events and Activities
The following types of events are NOT permitted on Telexor:
Absolutely Prohibited
- Illegal Activities: Any event promoting illegal products, services, or activities under local, state, or federal law
- Adult Content & Services:
- Adult entertainment venues (strip clubs, gentleman's clubs)
- Events featuring pornographic or sexually explicit content
- Escort services or adult service events
- Any AI-generated adult content events
- Gambling & Games of Chance:
- Casino nights or gambling events
- Poker tournaments or card game events with cash prizes
- Sweepstakes or raffles with monetary prizes (exceptions apply for registered nonprofits in specific countries)
- Fantasy sports leagues with prizes
- Any lottery-style events
- Bidding fee auctions
- Marijuana & Cannabis:
- Cannabis product sales or dispensary events
- Marijuana cultivation workshops or classes
- CBD events if products contain THC above legal limits
- Weapons & Explosives:
- Illegal weapons exhibitions or sales
- Events selling firearms or ammunition (restricted - see below)
- Explosives or dangerous materials events
- Multi-Level Marketing & Pyramid Schemes:
- "Get rich quick" scheme events
- Events promoting pyramid or Ponzi schemes
- MLM recruitment events with commission-based structures
- Hate Speech & Violence:
- Events promoting violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin
- Events celebrating or encouraging unlawful violence
- Intellectual Property Infringement:
- Events selling counterfeit goods
- Unauthorized screenings of copyrighted movies or shows
- Events featuring unlicensed music performances
- Cryptocurrency Mining & ICOs:
- Cryptocurrency mining events
- Initial Coin Offering (ICO) presentations
- NFT minting events (primary sales)
- Unfair or Deceptive Practices:
- Events making false or misleading claims
- Telemarketing events
- Door-to-door sales training events
- Events promoting predatory lending or investment schemes
3. Restricted Events Requiring Approval
The following event types require additional verification and may need pre-approval from Stripe:

- Crowdfunding & Fundraising Events:
- Nonprofit fundraising galas (approval required)
- Political fundraising events (approval required)
- Charity raffles in approved countries only
- Reward-based crowdfunding events
- Dating & Matchmaking Events:
- Speed dating events (limited availability)
- Matchmaking services (requires contact with Stripe sales)
- Financial Services Events:
- Investment seminars or workshops
- Cryptocurrency education events
- Trading workshops
- Legal Firearms & Self-Defense:
- Gun shows or firearm exhibitions (limited availability, country-specific)
- Self-defense training events
- Hunting expos
- CBD Products:
- Events featuring CBD products with only negligible THC (within legal limits)
- Tobacco Products:
- Cigar lounges or tobacco tasting events
- Vape expos or e-cigarette events
- Pharmaceuticals & Medical Services:
- Events offering telemedicine consultations
- Prescription pharmaceutical events
- Medical device demonstrations
- Travel Services:
- Travel package booking events
- Timeshare presentations (prohibited in some jurisdictions)
Note: If your event falls into any of these categories, please contact our support team at support@telexor.com before creating your event listing. We will work with you to determine if approval is possible.
4. What IS Allowed on Telexor
Fully Permitted Event Types
You are welcome to create events for any of the following:
- Concerts & Live Music: Performances by bands, musicians, DJs, and orchestras
- Arts & Theater: Plays, musicals, comedy shows, stand-up performances, art exhibitions
- Conferences & Seminars: Business conferences, educational seminars, workshops, trade shows
- Sports & Recreation: Sports tournaments, races, fitness classes, yoga retreats, outdoor adventures
- Food & Drink: Food festivals, wine tastings, cooking classes, restaurant pop-ups (alcohol must comply with local laws)
- Community Events: Cultural festivals, holiday celebrations, community gatherings, block parties
- Educational Events: Classes, lectures, training sessions, skill-building workshops
- Networking Events: Professional meetups, industry mixers, business networking
- Film & Entertainment: Movie screenings (with proper licensing), film festivals, entertainment showcases
- Family & Kids: Children's parties, family-friendly festivals, kids' activities and camps
- Health & Wellness: Wellness retreats, meditation sessions, mental health workshops (non-medical)
- Technology & Innovation: Tech conferences, hackathons, product launches, demo days
5. Country-Specific Restrictions
Depending on your location, additional restrictions may apply. Please review the restrictions for your country:
United States Specific Restrictions:
- Extended warranties sold separately from the primary product
- Mortgage consulting services
- Shipping brokers and freight forwarders (without Stripe authorization)
Other Key Jurisdictions:
Canada: Mortgage consulting, alcohol events (restricted)
India: Dating/matchmaking services, alcohol events, jewelry sales, gambling equipment, religious organizations
Japan: Drop shipping advisory services, fortune telling, international marriage brokerage
Thailand: Alcohol events, dating services, timeshares, vehicle sales
UAE: Dating/matchmaking services, gambling equipment
6. Prohibited Uses of Payment Processing
Regardless of your event type, you may NOT use Telexor's payment system for:
- Processing payments on behalf of another undisclosed party
- Submitting card transactions manually without legitimate ticket sales
- Card testing or fraudulent transactions
- Sharing cardholder information with other businesses
- Creating fake or misleading event information
- Cross-border payment processing that violates card network rules
7. Consequences of Policy Violations
- Immediate suspension or termination of your Telexor account
- Withholding of funds from ticket sales
- Permanent ban from using our platform
- Reporting to Stripe and financial authorities
- Legal action for fraudulent or illegal activity
8. How to Stay Compliant
- Review this policy carefully before creating your event
- Provide accurate information about your event type, activities, and any products being sold
- Obtain necessary licenses and permits for your event
- Contact us with questions - If you're unsure whether your event is permitted, email support@telexor.com before creating your listing
- Keep your event information updated - Notify us of any material changes to your event
- Follow local laws - Ensure your event complies with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations

10. Policy Updates
This policy is subject to change based on updates from Stripe and changes in financial regulations. We will notify event organizers of significant policy changes via email. Your continued use of Telexor's ticketing services constitutes acceptance of any policy updates.
